Magenta Shores Bridal Show Update

Yesterday was spent talking to couples about their big day. With the rain holding off we saw a steady stream of couples at Quay West Resort Magenta Shores to check out the venue and all the various suppliers who attended. Some bridal shows can be pretty hectic and you hardly get a chance to talk to each couple but yesterday was a little bit more relaxed and we could spend a little more time talking to people about their big day which was really nice. As we have two bridal shows in succession we decided to run a promotion for the next month starting from May 24th until the 31st June. Basically one lucky couple who book with us in this time will receive a $1200 upgrade and a smaller bonus will be given to all other couples... this proved to spark a lot of interest. So make sure you get in contact with us to be in the draw to win! I have posted a pic of our stand at the show below. Next Sunday we will be at another show at the Terrigal Country Comfort, so if you didn't get a chance to make it to Magenta and you are free we'd love to meet you and have a chat about your day! COME AND SEE US AT THE MAGENTA SHORES BRIDAL FAIR THIS SUNDAY 24TH MAY

Are you planning your big day and wanted to get some info about us and other suppliers such as event decorators, celebrants etc..... Well, Quay West Resort Magenta Shores (just past The Entrance) is having a bridal fair from 10am-3pm this Sunday. It's great if you wanted to see a few different suppliers to get an idea of what is out there for your special day! We would love to see you and have a chat. The days can be hectic though so we also say to people that do meet with us at bridal fairs that it's good to make an appointment to meet with Justin also so you can ask whatever questions you may have in a more relaxed setting. But what a great way to have a look through our beautiful albums to see if you like our albums and style and then you can make a time to meet with us!! So, if you are planning for your big day and were thinking about using us come to the bridal fair this Sunday. We're also going to be running a Promotion on the day so you'll have to grab a promotional bag off us to check out the great offer that we have.... Hope to see you there!!

Bec and Gary are married!!! 16th May 2009

On Saturday Justin photographed a gorgeous wedding at Avoca Beach Surf Life Saving Club. Avoca is such a great place to have a wedding and the Surf Life Saving Club always looks amazing when it is all done up! Bec looked divine in her wedding gown and Justin captured some great shots of her throughout the day... Both Gary and Bec had a great time all day long and we've uploaded some of our favourite images of the day. I especially love the shots at their ceremony when you can just see the delight in both their faces... this is always so special to see and to be able to share with couples!! Bec & Gary's bridal party were also terrific and Anne-Marie, who was one of their bridesmaids, is getting married on my birthday this year and has booked with us also so it was great for Justin to get to know her a little better and for Anne-Marie to get a glimpse of what her special day may be like! A big thank you to Bec, Gary and all of their family and friends for making Justin's job so easy. Olivia and Michael's wedding 9th May 09

Last Saturday, Father Rod married Olivia and Michael at St Mary's Heritage Church in Gosford. The day was beautiful and both Olivia and Michael were great to work with, as was the entire bridal party. With plenty of time for photos we got some amazing shots in a couple of different locations around the Coast on the way to their reception at the Bay Sports Club. This was the first reception held in the main room and it looked great!! We have uploaded just a few photos to preview their day and for their guests wanting to see more we will have their online gallery up hopefully by late next week. Thankyou both for letting me be a part of your special day and we will catch up soon to show you the rest of your images and your album preview... it's going to look amazing!!! 2009 NSW AIPP AWARDS ## 3 More Awards for VIBE ##

After a beautiful wedding on Saturday with Olivia and Michael (pics to come soon) Carla, Matt, Bella and I headed down to the International College of Management in Manly for the 2009 NSW Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) Awards. We arrived on Sunday to check things out and as we don't really get too much time away from home during the busy wedding season and the Wedding Category was not until Monday we decided to head off to see the sights. After spending some time on the beach, heading over to Bondi to check out some locations for an up coming wedding we then headed back to Manly Ocean world so Matty could check out the sharks which he absolutely loved!!!! We then headed back to where we were staying in Manly thinking about if we would pick up any awards the following day when the Wedding section started. During the morning we took Matt & Bella to the zoo, and again Matt loved this (Bella loved getting carried around in her Baby Bjorn... we'll have to head back there for her when she's just that bit older). Later that day we headed to the Awards to watch the Wedding Category be judged and saw some simply amazing images! I think this year saw some tough judging as the scoring seemed a bit lower for what I thought were pretty amazing prints. I was fortunate to pick up two Silver Awards and also a Silver with Distinction for another image. I was so close to achieving a Gold Award missing out by just 2%. We were very happy with the results and I simply can't wait for the National awards to arrive so I can enter some new images and see how we go again. The Silver Distinction was the highest scoring print I have achieved in my short 2 years of entering the AIPP awards and it really has spurred me on to achieve more next time around. Every wedding is another opportunity to come up with something really special so with another wedding just a few days away I can guarantee I will be focused 100% on getting something special for both the couple and even for me! The Wedding of Michelle and David on the 2nd May at The Sebel Kirkton Park in the gorgeous Hunter Valley

Yesterday we photographed a beautiful wedding in the Hunter Valley as Michelle & David exchanged their vows and declared their commitment to each other. We are able to get some photographs up so quickly as Justin and I were both at the wedding as Michelle & David arranged for a slideshow of some of their wedding photographs to be projected at their wedding reception. This means we had already picked out some of our favourites last night so we thought that we would upload them straight away for everyone to enjoy! A slideshow is such a great idea if you are getting married soon and are thinking about doing one... the guests and bridal couple always love to get a little surprise and see some shots straight away and be wowed! Michelle & David were married at St. Patrick's at Nukulba, which must be a favourite little church of ours in the region as it is just so gorgeous. David's little sister, Natalie, was the Junior Bridesmaid and did a really great job of getting the rings to the church and preening over Michelle and her dress all day long... no mean feat for an 11 year old so well done Nat! We had a great day with the bride and groom and had plenty of time to capture some amazing wedding photos for them in the vineyards with the rich foliage of Autumn...simply stunning! We could have spent hours there taking photos but we had the Sebel to get some shots at as well so headed back there also. I have to mention David's effort at trying to open the champagne bottle at the vineyards though... it took him a little while to get the cork off so a little more practice might be needed over the year so that he gets it right for their anniversaries.
